Dear Mr Neece,
Thank you for contacting me regarding the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein and human trafficking. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue.
I am aware of the controversy surrounding the purported "Epstein List." I remain committed to maximum transparency from the Department of Justice while protecting the privacy of the victims during these ongoing investigations. Let me be clear: Jeffrey Epstein's conduct during his life was deplorable, and people such as him should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
These bills, which passed with overwhelming bipartisan support, will crack down on human traffickers, strengthen protections for children, support victims, and enhance resources for law enforcement. Most importantly, I hope these measures will finally reduce and exterminate this immoral and exploitative industry.
I understand this is a serious issue demanding proactive legislation. Therefore, as the 119th Congress continues to consider relevant legislative action, I will certainly keep your thoughts in mind.
Again, thank you for expressing your thoughts on this important issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me or my staff if I can be of assistance in the future. It is an honor and a privilege to represent Western Pennsylvania in the United States Congress.
If you would like to hear more from me on this issue and others, please subscribe to my newsletter at www.kelly.house.gov.
Sincerely,
Mike Kelly
Member of Congress
