Dear Mr. Neece,
Thank you for contacting me regarding the release of records related to Jeffrey Epstein. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on this deeply troubling matter.
Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes represent a horrific abuse of power and privilege. The fact that so many questions remain about the extent of his network and the individuals who enabled or benefited from his actions underscores the need for transparency and accountability.
The House Oversight Committee recently advanced a motion to subpoena records related to Epstein, an important step toward uncovering the truth. This action represents progress in the broader effort to ensure that no individual, regardless of their wealth or connections, is above the law.
On November 18, 2025, I joined nearly all of my House of Representatives colleagues in passing the Epstein Files Transparency Act by a vote of 427 to 1. In turn, the Senate passed the bill, and President Trump signed it into law on November 19, 2025, starting the 30-day clock for the Administration to release the files. This swift passage of this law reflects Congress’s clear and bipartisan determination that the American people deserve answers and that justice must not be delayed or denied.
On January, 30, 2026, the Trump Administration identified over 6 million potentially responsive pages but released only about 3.5 million. It raises serious questions about why the remaining documents are being withheld in direct contravention of federal law. The millions of documents include a multitude of incriminating information, further showing the need for accountability for all those connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. I will continue to push for the full release of these files that uncover the complete truth on the Epstein files and provide justice for the survivors.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me on this important matter. If you want to stay updated with my work in Congress, you can visit https://mcclellan.house.gov/ to sign up for my newsletter.
