7th Response from United States Congress Regarding Marller Gets a Spinoff: The Return of Jeffrey Epstein

February 19, 2026

Dear Mr. Neece,

Thank you for contacting my office regarding government accountability. I realize the importance of these issues and am committed to ensuring that all officials are held to the highest account of the law. As a public servant, I am dedicated to upholding our nation’s laws and the Constitution.

Frequently, the Department of Justice (DoJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are on the frontlines of enforcing these laws. I have the utmost confidence in their abilities and respect their rights to investigative and prosecutorial independence. These men and women are the best in the world at what they do, and I believe in the efficacy and thoroughness of their investigations.

What happened to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein is abhorrent, and they deserve justice. I was proud to vote in favor of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, requiring the Department of Justice to publish unclassified investigative materials related to Jeffrey Epstein’s case to provide transparency for the American people.

I was also proud to join House Republicans in voting to affirm Chairman Comer’s House Oversight Committee Investigation into the Epstein Files earlier this Fall. Unlike other proposals introduced to the House floor, the DOJ investigation contains a binding subpoena that has the force of law to release all documents related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. This investigation is in active conversation with victims, does not require Senate approval, and is already delivering results for the American public.

As your representative, I have a duty to protect our sacred institutions and the rights of all Americans. I trust that the proper authorities will handle difficult situations with integrity. As Congress continues to debate and monitor these issues, I pledge to keep your thoughts in mind.

With thousands of pieces of legislation introduced before the U.S. House of Representatives, I want to highlight some features on my website for you to stay engaged with what is happening here in Washington. From traveling throughout our district, I have compiled a list of priorities that outline my position on many of the important issues facing Virginia's First District and our nation.

Please know that I will continue to work hard on your behalf and continue to provide top-tier constituent services. I welcome any specific concerns or ideas you may have that could contribute to creating a better future for our district and our country. While we may not agree on all issues, I am always a resource should you ever need it.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to my office at (202) 225-4261 or through my website. I encourage you to subscribe to my e-newsletter and to follow me on Facebook, X, and Instagram to stay up to date on my work in Washington on behalf of Virginia’s First District. It is an honor to serve you.

Sincerely,

Rob Wittman

Member of Congress
