Dear Mr Neece,
Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns about the Jeffrey Epstein case. I share your view that every victim deserves justice and that every perpetrator must be held fully accountable under the law.
As a former judge, I firmly believe in the importance of a fair and transparent justice system. Sexual exploitation and human trafficking are horrific crimes that demand careful fact-finding and accountability. This case highlights the need for thorough, impartial investigations to ensure that justice is served. The public has a right to understand the truth, and it is essential that we uphold the integrity of the legal process to ensure justice for all.
As you may know, I supported H.R.4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act, when it passed the U.S. Congress on November 18, 2025 and signed into public law by President Trump on November 19, 2025. This bill requires the Department of Justice (DOJ) to publish all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials in DOJ's possession that relate to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein. Please know I will keep your concerns in mind as I monitor the execution of this law and continue to support efforts in Congress to demand transparency, strengthen our laws against human trafficking, and ensure that federal law enforcement fully investigates and prosecutes anyone involved in such crimes. Justice for the survivors, and consequences for the perpetrators, must remain our top priority.
I appreciate the opportunity to work for you in Congress. Please visit www.carter.house.gov, my various social media sites (@JudgeCarter), and feel free to contact me in the future with any concerns you may have.
