Dear Mr. Neece,
Thank you for contacting me regarding the case of Jeffrey Epstein. I hope that you will continue to share your thoughts and concerns with me. It is an honor to serve you in your office in Congress.
As you know, Mr. Epstein was an investor who was convicted of multiple heinous crimes against children. In August 2019, he was found dead in his prison cell, raising questions about the circumstances of his death. I understand there is public interest and scrutiny surrounding Mr. Epstein’s death and his previous associates and co-conspirators. In July 2025, the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation released the results of a joint federal investigation into the death of Mr. Epstein, stating that they did not find an incriminating “client list” or evidence of blackmail against prominent individuals.
As your Representative, I believe that anyone who commits crimes against children should be thoroughly investigated and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. While crimes against children have always been a serious issue, Democrats in Congress are currently feigning outrage about the Epstein files and putting on a show for the media. For years, Democrats have periodically controlled the House, the Senate, and the presidency, and they had plenty of opportunities to release any information regarding the Epstein case which they believed to exist.
That said, the House Oversight Committee, of which I am a member, has issued a subpoena for Mr. Epstein’s closest associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, to be deposed before Congress and provide further information, while also conducting additional oversight of the federal government’s handling of Mr. Epstein’s prosecution to promote transparency and determine whether legislative reforms are needed to strengthen federal sex-trafficking investigations. To date, Oversight Republicans have released approximately 53,000 files, and the Department of Justice has released nearly 3.5 million Epstein file documents, along with approximately 2,000 videos and 180,000 images.
Congress has also recently passed H.R. 4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which requires the Attorney General to publish all documents and records relating to Mr. Epstein’s investigations, prosecutions, and related activities. I voted in favor of its passage.
Again, it’s a privilege to represent you in Washington. If there is anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to call or email any time. I would love to stay in touch with you through our newsletter. Sign up here to get the latest on what’s happening in Congress and around TX-04: https://fallon.house.gov/forms/emailsignup.
