Thank you for reaching out to me about the Epstein Files.
The American people have been told repeatedly by many elected officials — to include the sitting president of the United States — that this is an issue that they should be paying attention to, and that it was indicative of a cover-up on behalf of the wealthy and powerful in this country. President Trump and many members of his party have now done a 180 — walking back these claims and working to block the release of these documents.
There is bipartisan support, in both Congress and among Americans, to shed much-needed light on this case. That’s why I’m calling for the release of the files, and recently signed onto a bipartisan discharge petition that forced a vote on legislation to release them to the public.
