Dear Mr Neece,
Thank you for contacting me regarding the major combat operations against Iran. I hope that you will continue to share your thoughts and concerns with me. It is an honor to serve you in your office in Congress.
On February 28, 2026, President Donald Trump directed strategic military strikes against the Iranian Regime and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to protect American lives and confront a regime that has pursued nuclear weapons. This regime has acted with violence and supported terrorist networks that have killed and threatened U.S. citizens and service members, our allies, and overall stability around the world. Iran’s actions have endangered American lives and sabotaged peace in an already tense region. President Trump has made it clear that the end goal is peace in the region but also that the U.S. will not hesitate to protect American citizens and confront those who wish to do us harm. Iran’s continued hostility and support of terrorist networks have brought us to a serious and consequential moment. The United States must continue to protect our citizens, support our allies, and uphold peace.
At the same time, Congress has an important role to play moving forward. Oversight of this escalation in Iran is essential to ensure that the United States remains aligned with a broader strategy that will support democratic governance and long-term regional security. Proving both support for our military and responsible oversight of these actions if of utmost importance. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I’m in constant contact with our military leaders, the White House, and our men and women in uniform and will continue to monitor this situation closely.
I appreciate your engagement on this very important issue. Please know that I will keep constituent thoughts and perspectives in mind as Congress considers next steps related to Iran.
It is a deep honor to represent you in Washington. If there is anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to call or email any time. I would love to stay in touch with you through our newsletter. Sign up here to get the latest on what’s happening in Congress and around TX-04: https://fallon.house.gov/contact/newsletter-subscribe.
