2nd Response from United States Congress Regarding Handala Hack Team Iran War

Dear Mr Neece,

Thank you for contacting me with your concerns regarding Director Kash Patel. I appreciate hearing from you and having the opportunity to respond.

I have supported and will continue to support appropriate Congressional oversight of the Executive Branch. I believe in our system of checks and balances, and I agree with the late Senator John McCain, who said that, regardless of political party, we in Congress “are not the president’s subordinates. We are his equal.”

Our Founders designed the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches to be co-equal, each with a duty to uphold the Constitution and protect the American people.

My commitment to you, regardless of your opinion about Director Patel, is to listen carefully and work to advance policies that serve the best interests of all central Arkansans and Americans.

During my time in Congress, I have worked with the administrations of Presidents Obama, Trump, and Biden to pass legislation that improves the lives of Arkansans and people across the country. I remain committed to serving my constituents, regardless of who is in the White House.

I’ve also spoken out when I believed any administration, regardless of party, was headed in the wrong direction, while working collaboratively with them whenever possible.

I remain committed to performing appropriate oversight, holding officials accountable when necessary, and ensuring that the Executive Branch operates within the bounds of the law. Rest assured, I will continue to monitor developments related to Director Patel and keep your concerns in mind as Congress evaluates its next steps.

Thank you again for contacting me. It is an honor to represent you in Congress.

Sincerely,

French Hill

Member of Congress
