Dear Mr. Neece,
Thank you for contacting me to express your views. When I speak with people in neighborhoods throughout San Diego, I hear their frustration with Washington’s inability to make progress on many important issues. My most important responsibility is listening to you. I appreciate hearing from you
San Diego is one of the most diverse cities and economies in the country. San Diego is historically a military town, a border town, a high-tech hub, and a tourist destination. These are the four economic engines that power San Diego, and I have a long history of working together with Democrats and Republicans to further our community’s goals.
While I will do all I can to work with Republicans to lower the cost of living and improve the lives of San Diegans, I will not compromise on my values or be afraid to stand up to President Trump when needed. I will fight back when President Trump implements broad tariffs that raise costs for families or when he tries to implement extreme policies that hurt vulnerable populations.
Please know that whether my party is in the minority or majority, I will not stop advocating to help San Diego.
