Kevin Neece's Thoughts on SAG AFTRA and their #NoFakesAct #TakeItDownAct #TakeItDownDay #SeanAstin

You want to talk about film industry discrimination? I’m an Award Winning Filmmaker who worked on Ah My Goddess for Nine Years without Pay while I was unemployed and living with my retired mother during which the entire staff of Kodansha Ltd and Dark Horse Comics and the Ah My Goddess Voice Cast Members refused to respond to me. Then I found out the reason. I was blacklisted by @sagaftra for making no budget movies and working on austin public access. In order for Voice Actors to work on professional films, you have to join SAG, but after you join they ban you from engaging with No Budget Movies that don’t follow a SAG contract. They do allow for film festivals and public access, but this doesn’t apply to animation films. SAG’s policies put in place to protect their members from being exploited didn’t protect Kevin Neece, it directly enabled his exploitation because he was alienated by everyone he worked for and the entire film industry. What I did on this anime series was basically the development work of an unpaid intern and Kodansha Ltd was just going to sit back and let me continue to work for free while I was blacklisted and unemployed without acknowledging me for the next thirty years. That is absolutely exploitation of the worst kind and it’s because they are following orders from @sagaftra And when I explained to all of them what they had done, they still continued to do it. I took my case to SAG and they never responded to me. They just blew me off for nine years of my life. You think Sean Astin really cares about people being exploited and mistreated by the film industry? I assure you that he doesn’t. He doesn’t care about what happened to me at all. I’m not one of their members so fuck me right. Their behavior is the ultimate example of “We got ours so fuck everyone that is not one of us.” So @sagaftra can permanently kiss my ass forever. They just made an enemy for life and I’m about to run their asses through the wringer every time the subject comes up with other filmmakers. I gave Sean Astin his chance to look into my case and he didn’t care so he completely deserves to be criticized for it.
