Hekate wasn't operating off of the Sneak Preview screening that Kevin Neece attended days before the Official United States Release Date. Hekate was operating off the theatrical release date instead, possibly because Kevin Neece didn't intentionally invoke her at the screening.
Eli Roth's ICE CREAM MAN features a theme of black magic, necromancy, and demonic possession. The final scenes take place in a cemetery. Just like the Phantasm series.
