The Developers in Kevin Neece's Neighborhood have been buying up all of the old houses, then tearing them down and replacing them with big houses that only millionaires can afford to live in. This photo you see is the latest victim. And it's right next to Kevin Neece's bedroom.
The history of the house that used to be there was that my Grandmother Naomi Peterson and Arthur Brand owned the house as Landlords. My Grandfather Windom Peterson lived in that house before he married my Grandmother. After both grandfathers died, my grandmother did "the Christian thing" and sold the house to the Poor Family living in it for significantly less than what it was worth so they could turn a profit in selling the house.
The next man who lived there was JP, who worked on Robert Rodriguez Spy Kids and Grindhouse Planet Terror as one of the crew members. Once he moved out, I lost track of who lived there. All I know is the house was there one day, torn down the next. This might have made for a good Ah My Goddess episode but I don't feel I have enough to say on the issue.
It's definitely Gentrification, slowly but surely, one house at a time, the Developers are driving out the poor to make way for the rich. If they ever do it to Kevin Neece's Demon House someday, the result will be the plot of Beetlejuice.
